John 3:1-3 There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, "Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him." Jesus answered and said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."

Becoming “Born Again” later in life or at any age is really an awakening, an awakening from our former life to our new life as a child of God. When we are filled with the Holy Spirit we can begin to live out God’s purpose for us, His plan for us. It is the Holy Spirit within each one of us that gives us: peace, comfort, strength, wisdom, protection, opportunity and our daily bread. Then, Jesus gives us a promise of eternal life in paradise with Him and God the Father, IF and ONLY IF, we have a personal relationship with Jesus and strive to live as Jesus did. Some people “get it” earlier than others and some, unfortunately never do.

This song was a gift from My Lord Jesus Christ and describes my younger years, when my focus was worldly and not Godly. When I came to know Jesus and realized what our real mission in life should be, I was reborn into a life of servitude with a smile. We as Christians have the responsibility of spreading the word of the Gospel in whatever way possible, we are commissioned to do that and music works just fine for me.
